![]() ![]() ![]() Now, I'm not saying Noita is terrible (look who's repeating himself) per se, but now there's a glaring contrast in the songs. However, from every climb, you'll eventually have to roll down. They had proven they could do some amazing stuff. Ukon Wacka was a step in the wrong direction, in my opinion (the production on that album was way to bad, a problem that Noita, thankfully does not have). Sure, Korven Kuningas was as heavy as a feather, but it was at best harmless and most of the songs on that album still hold up to today. We had some silly songs over the years we had some great songs, but everything was even. Yeah, many may argue they got boring way before Noita, but I stand my ground. The fact of the matter is: Korpiklaani got boring. Now look, the album isn't terrible far from it. I pondered for a while and finished it off with a disappointing sigh. Then I bought the album, listened to the other tracks that weren't released before I got the record (which I'll get into later. The stars were aligned, the planets were in succession, everything was where it should be. Manala blew it out of the water, and a follow-up record, with that kickass cover, was just what I needed. I was part of the hype train, from the beginning. Hitting store shelves in May 2015 (and illegal downloads in April 2015), the album set its way to give us the songs we've, the fans, been waiting for since the release of Manala, back in August 2013. ![]() The newest and bluest Korpiklaani record. I'm surprised this HEI HEI HEI thing hasn't become a meme yet. HEI HEI HEI! If they can start an album like that, I have the right to start my review like that as well. ![]()
